Rockbrook Village Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot

Rockbrook Village Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot

We are so excited to bring you the complete post from our 2011 Rockbrook Village Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot that took place in November here at Ready or Knot.

The idea for a Rockbrook Village Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot began when Westside High School Senior Kassandra Chesire came to me looking for a senior project.  After a couple of brainstorming sessions and discarding several ideas that weren’t quite unique enough – we came up with the idea for an Inspiration Shoot highlighting all the terrific wedding vendors right here in Rockbrook Village.  I asked Candace Kalasky from Lovestru.ck Social Events to help us with the event coordination & design.  At the completion of this project, our goal is to use the images from this shoot to promote Rockbrook Village as a one-stop-shop for brides-to-be as they plan their special day.

The three of us came up with a vision for a very neutral, sophisticated palette that highlighted the natural beauty of our wedding party.  Creams, golds, champagnes, silvers, & pearls became the focal points for our photo shoot and allowed us to easily incorporate vintage pieces.

Check out the images below from our amazingly talented photographer – Daniel Muller from The Mullers.

Getting Ready

The vanity from Nostalgia Rentals in Lincoln, (complete with vintage perfume bottles, phone, and jewelry) was the perfect centerpiece for our first vignette.  Don’t you love the layered necklaces & bracelets our stylist Natalie Navis from Sequined Silver Lining pulled together? (This would be an excellent way for a bride to use lots of pieces of jewelry from several family members for her wedding.)

Getting ready with something old, something new

The wedding dress featured in the shoot is a Ready or Knot favorite – L111 from Legends by Romona Keveza.  The gorgeous ivory color was perfect for our shoot!  Our bridesmaid model, Dani, takes glamour to a new level in the ruffle, one shoulder, vanilla Amsale bridesmaid dress (G660C).

Jill, our Mother of the Bride, is stunning with her gold strapless dress from Winning Crown Boutique.  Natalie again layered various pieces of jewelry to tie her look into our overall theme as well.

Reception decorThe flowers, cake, and desserts also reflected our neutral palette with gold sprinkles, white flowers, and simple lines.  Memrical was able to transform the store into the perfect backdrop for our photo shoot.
Toasting the new coupleOur bride & groom – Ian Aeillo & Mary Clare Sweet –  are a real life couple as you can tell by the chemistry between them.  We even had Ian pick out Mary Clare’s wedding ring for the shoot!  We kept Ian’s look very clean and classic with a black suit from Post & Nickel.

A big thank you to all of our outstanding vendors that helped out with this photo shoot!

  • […] We are back with the third installment of our wedding dress styling series.  Today’s wedding look was inspired by: romance, whimsy, drama, timelessness, beauty, a formal wedding (possibly a black tie affair), ballroom dancing, the love of tulle.  Natalie from Sequined Silver Lining & Cassondra from Sammy & Me Photography did a fabulous job showcasing the jaw dropping gorgeousness of our model Dani.  (I still think she is secretly a professional model . . . do you remember her from this post?)
