Finding the perfect wedding dress may seem like a daunting task. We see unsure brides everyday. So we have compiled 5 tips we think are crucial to help you pick “the one”.

{1} Come in with Some Details
What kind of wedding are you having – church, outdoor, destination? What time of year is your wedding? All of this will affect what dress you end up buying. Really, who wants to wear a 20 pound dress on the beach?

{2} Bring Your Accessories & Undergarments
It is very important to bring items like your heels and strapless bra with you to bridal appointments to help you see the end result. Spanx or a slimmer also can be very helpful & dramatically change the way a dress fits! Do you have a brooch, veil or necklace your grandma wore at her wedding… bring them along too!
{3} Keep an Open Mind
It is helpful to have a general idea of what you are looking for but being open to trying on different styles, fabrics, and silhouettes will give you so many more options. Also, some dresses just don’t show well on a hanger. Be open minded to suggestions – we’ve seen these dresses on brides and can visualize what they will look like on you. How many times have you heard – “I would’ve never picked it out on the rack but I feel in love with it once I put it on!”
{4} Keep Your Audience Small
This day is all about you, bring in 1-2 people that will support you and help you make the right decision. It is also completely okay to come alone. Bringing too many people, with all differing opinions, will just distract you from the right choice & you’ll end up trying dresses for them that you would never wear. It is also helpful to leave small children at home so they aren’t distracting!

{5} Trust Your Gut
If you don’t want to take off the dress, you know it’s the dress for you. Trust yourself, you know the wedding dress for you.
