Bridal Market 2012 Trends – Part I

Bridal Market 2012 Trends – Part I

I am back and (almost) fully recovered from New York Couture Bridal Market & very glad I was in NYC last week and not this week with the crazy weather they are getting.

It is always a whirlwind trip full of fabulous new wedding dresses.  Here is a quick recap of the new bridal trends showcased at bridal market.

Straps & Sleeves

You’ve been asking for them and this season the designers politely obliged!  One shoulder, V-neck, sleeves, & sheer illusion necklines are just a few of the choices available in the new collections.

Modern Trousseau has always had many options for a strapped gown and this season they added many more fabulous choices (& look at those amazing backs!).  Several other designers also debuted several strapped options!  Which of these dresses would you love to see at Ready or Knot?

Lace with a Hint of Sparkle

Lace was a HUGE trend at this market and many designers added a hint of sparkle to their lace patterns.

Check out this flared French net ball gown skirt from Legends by Romona Keveza that will be arriving at Ready or Knot in late summer!

Hint of Color – Gold

Color has been sneaking into wedding dresses for a while and this season the color of choice was gold which is perfect for the bride who doesn’t want something over dramatic but wants to incorporate new bridal trends.

Modern Trousseau definitely embraced the gold trend.  Here are a few of our favorite wedding dresses from their new collection that embraced the “hint of gold”.
